Troy Nelson Financial Advisor CRD #3077843

An arbitration claim was filed by Murrin Law Firm alleging that Troy Nelson and Edward Jones, during Claimant’s divorce proceedings, disbursed marital funds to Claimant’s former husband from a restricted account, without Claimant’s knowledge or authorization, and also unreasonably withheld marital assets awarded to Claimant.

Claimants further alleged, in the First and Second Statement of Claims, the following causes of actions against Troy Nelson and Edward Jones: inappropriate and unsuitable investments; breach of fiduciary duty; churning; fraudulent transfers; forgery; omission of material facts; unauthorized activity, including trades, deposits, and withdrawals; and discrimination due to marital status.

The arbitration panel found Edward Jones and Troy Nelson liable and ordered Edward Jones to pay Claimant the sum of $380,862.62 in compensatory damages and $125,000 in attorney fees. If you lost money on investments with Edward Jones and or Troy Nelson, you may be able to recover your losses from Edward Jones, because Edward Jones had a duty to supervise Troy Nelson and all the 17,000 Edward Jones brokers.
