a Minnesota law firm, was established in 1977 by senior attorney,
John O. Murrin. Murrin Law Firm concentrates its practice in providing

and rendering second opinions. John O.
Murrin was admitted to practice law in 1976 in Minnesota. He was
admitted to the California Bar in 1977 and Wisconsin Bar in 1992.
He has also been admitted to the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals, United
States Supreme Court (1985) and various
federal district courts throughout the United States.
Murrin
is a graduate of UCLA and Duke Law School. He has been designated
a "super lawyer" by his peers and Businessman of the Year by the
Republican Congressional Committee in 1999. In a case entitled
Ortega v. Medallion Kitchens of Minnesota, File No. 604-16-9726,
a Workers' Compensation Court Judge in his Findings, to a case where
he was requiring other party to pay his attorney fees said: "Mr.
Murrin prevailed on all issues ... the nature and complexity of
the issues involved justifies the fee that was charged as did the
nature of proof that needed to be adduced. As stated before, the
results obtained were excellent and Mr. Murrin is clearly a skilled
practitioner entitled to charge this hourly rate ... The Compensation
Judge finds that Mr. Murrin, on the basis of his experience and
skill as a trial lawyer is entitled to charge the rate of .... per
hour, the amount of time put in, however, to be measured against
the results obtained. In this case, the result was excellent and
Mr. Murrin should not be punished for being a diligent advocate
of his client."
Murrin was elected to public
office as board member of the Edina Public Schools in 1998-2002;
member of the American Arbitration Association; member of the Edina
Chamber of Commerce; Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association; America
Trial Lawyers Association; Minnesota State Bar Association; Hennepin
County Bar Association; and Wisconsin State Bar Association.
